Adding candles to a dining table instantly elevates the look and feel of the space. From sleek and streamlined to colorful and bold, these candlestick holders will help add personality and a timeless feel to dinner parties and family meals alike.

Three sculptural candle holders with mixed materials

The Asymmetrical Candle Holders are a functional work of sculpture—The bowl-like silhouette of the holder is designed to reflect light and catch wax drips. And when the holder stands without a candlestick, it creates a striking accent for a tabletop or mantel. Although the candle holders are asymmetrical in nature, they are physically sturdy. Available in three sizes, the holders can be grouped together or used as standalone accents.

Marble and copper candlestick holders

The aptly named Chunk Candleholder from Menu is a solid, substantial piece that looks purposeful and strong when set on a shelf or table. The cylindrical marble slab features a copper top, which counters the organic, raw nature of the marble with sophisticated shine. The result is a well-balanced accent that is an attractive decorative element whether it is holding a candle or resting on its own.

Available in two sizes: Large and Small.

Colorful series of candlestick holders in mixed materials

The Field Candlesticks from Good Thing are cheerful tabletop accessories that blend the function of traditional candlestick holders with innovative modern details. Designed by Sam Anderson, the candlesticks are available in a range of colors, and sold as a set of two. Each component is comprised of painted hard maple and steel. The painted wood brings warmth to the accessory, while steel gives an industrial slant.

Undulating sculptural mango wood candle holders

The Wave Candlestick Holder combines traditional craft production with a contemporary design sensibility. Hand-turned by artisans in Jaipur, India and designed by Michael Dreeben for AKMD, the Wave Candlestick mimics the undulating curves of sine waves. Each candlestick is made from repurposed, sustainably harvested Mango wood—a native tree to India— and is burned and oil finished.

Elegant walnut and brass candlestick holders

Drawing its inspiration from antique weights and a Sylvia Plath poem of the same name, the Nick And The Candlestick candle holder is romantic and evocative. Designed by Lindsey Adelman, nine ethereal brass cylinders stand on a walnut tray, each one a different height. Candles appear almost as if they are growing out of them, and when lit the flames appear to dance in the high gloss brass finish. This is a true statement maker.

Inspired wood candlestick holders in different sizes and colors

Danish designer Simon Legald was inspired by the silhouette created in a tree trunk as lumberjacks slowly chop away toward its center when he conceived of this series of Lumberjack Candle Holders. Each holder is carved from a single, cylindrical piece of solid wood. The result is a series of candle holders that blend an organic feel and a refined, sculptural quality, making them an ideal choice for a rustic kitchen or elegant dining room.

Machine-inspired brass candlestick holders

The Cog Candleholder series from Tom Dixon blends elegance and industrial inspiration. Each statuesque holder is made out of machined raw aluminum on a traditional lathe that is brass plated and finished with a clear lacquer. Without candles, the candleholders have a tremendous presence; with candles, the holders are defined by their substantial height.

Colorful wood candlestick holders in flower-inspired shapes

The Blossom series is a collection of candlesticks that are inspired, as their names would suggest, by flowers. The series includes three different heights and shapes—Tulip, Rose, and Lily—that are crafted from hand-turned beech wood and painted in vivid hues. The hand turning process is inspired by the midcentury candlestick making process of creating candlesticks from the scraps of wooden furniture.

Trio of machined brass candlestick holders

Designed by Ariane van Dievot, the Avandi Candlestix Candle Holder Set is a series of three sleek candlestick holders. Crafted in solid brass, each candle holder has a decidedly modern shape, and includes a pointed top for both securing a candlestick and stacking other holders in the series. Each candle holder has a leather base branded with the Avandi logo.

Trio of matte black candlestick holders in different sizes

The Luster Candle Holders create an instant statement on a mantel or tabletop, and can be arranged from shortest to tallest, in a cluster, or sporadically to create a distinctive, changing look. Each holder is defined by its geometric details—a cylinder meets a circular base. Crafted from a zinc alloy with a black matte finish, the luster candleholders blend a cool modern look with a traditional feel, making them a balanced accent for a variety of interiors.
