Tiny modular home with Murphy bed

Madrid-based firm PKMN dreamed up this flexible concept for a client with a tiny home north of the city. Made up of three flexible shelving units on a track system, the All I Own House can be configured in countless ways, making space for a bedroom, kitchen, sitting area, changing room, and more. One of the shelving units includes a Murphy bed, creating a comfortable sleeping space.

A folding bed and pullout bedside tables make the transition from photography studio to bedroom painless.

Urban Usonian might have seemed like an oxymoron to Frank Lloyd Wright, but it’s a reality in this Boston photographer’s flat, designed to fit into a preexisting 1,500-square-foot space. A folding bed and pullout bedside tables make the transition from photography studio to bedroom painless.

For aesthetically beautiful minimalist, modern, and sleek design, less really can be more. This idea forms the foundation of a project called LifeEdited from designer and entrepreneur Graham Hill. After a contest to crowd-source the best design ideas for small space living, the resulting SoHo apartment sleeps up to four thanks to Murphy beds, can host dinners for up to twelve guests, and even sports a home theater with digital projector.
