All right, all right, we're known for showing our fair share of Spartan and spare minimalist homes. But some people have stuff. And lots of it. In the following round-up, spy five homes in which people have decked the halls with all manner of things (just don't call them hoarders).
wood shelves of various sizes ornament the back wall, white couches, and a wood coffee table sit on a red, white and grey carpet

Connecticut-based architecture firm Gray Organschi designed Jonathan Adler and Simon Doonan's Shelter Island beach house. It's a slick, low-slung, and restrained structure that belies an interior festooned with a kaleidoscopic mix of colors and an array of tactile materials. The Peter rug, Malibu sofa, and ceramics are Adler’s own designs. The tables, pendant lights, and rocker are vintage. Adler and Doonan used scaffolding from the house’s construction to build the bookshelf.

Italian architect Benedetta Tagliabue in her home library

The Barcelona home of Benedetta Tagliabue is a medley of historic details (like Andalusian tile), custom furniture (like the dining table her late husband,  Enric Miralles, designed), and modern classics (like the Eames office chairs and Louis Poulsen pendant lights) in her expansive library.

Aumas' assorted collectables.

Jean-Christophe Aumas’ multihued Paris apartment houses the stunning assemblage of furniture he’s brought back from his travels. A vintage 1950s credenza discovered in Paris supports three works by Aumas and two Sol LeWitt–inspired cubes used in one of his window displays. The daybed is an eBay purchase reupholstered in fabric from Kvadrat and the dark paint is from Dulux Valentine. Aumas found the photographer’s lamp at a Brussels flea market.

Sawback chair with fur throw cover.

The living room in Mark Neely and Paul Kefalides’s Eichler is decked out with the couple’s vintage finds, including a Hans Wegner Sawback chair (the fur throw obscures an area needing repair), a George Nelson Ball Clock, a DF-2000 cabinet by Raymond Loewy, a light designed by Greta Von Nessen, and a suite of Brian Willshire wooden sculptures, one of Neely’s many collections.
