Patricia Urquiola is Spanish by birth but the soul of her design is Italian: she studied under Italian greats and opened her studio in Milan. Since then, she's worked with countless brands and operated as an architect as well. Check out these 6 rooms sporting her furniture,

A coastal home designed by Australian architect John Wardle is uniquely tuned in to its residents and to its epic surroundings. Its rooftop terrace is furnished with a Tropicalia chair and chaise longue, designed by Urquiola for Moroso, and a Jil table by Justin Hutchinson for Tait Outdoor.

In the same home, Wardle refused to fixate on the seascape at the expense of other views and oriented the living room to a lush grove of trees. A yellow Bend sofa and two Husk chairs, both by Patricia Urquiola for B&B Italia, add splashes of color.

Six stories high, crowned with a pool, and with a direct lineage back to the Bauhaus, a new town house in Tel Aviv manages to both embrace and provide refuge from the teeming Israeli city. The living room features stunning views of the city, a Bend sofa and Phoenix coffee tables, both by Patricia Urquiola for B&B Italia and Moroso, respectively, and two Gray armchairs by Piero Lissoni for Living Divani.

After a tree falls in Santa Monica, a garage was reborn as a 600-square-foot family gathering spot. Here the client's son lounges on a Tufty-Time sofa by Patricia Urquiola for B&B Italia in the family room that architect Emily Jagoda created for his family in their tree-damaged garage in Santa Monica.

Fire Island living area with a PP130 Circle Chair by Hans Wegner and a wood-burning stove

An intervention from a clever interior designer spares an old beach house on Fire Island, New York, from demolition. Alexandra Angle transformed a beachside cabin into a colorful retreat for a college friend and her family. The living area features a PP130 Circle Chair by Hans Wegner and a Shaker wood stove by Antonio Citterio withToan Nguyen for Wittus. A Tropicalia Cocoon hanging chair by Patricia Urquiola complements the fabric from Liberty that Angle used for the cushions on the built-in banquette.
